Domaine Moissenet-Bonnard, Les Cras 2020 – Pommard

The wine has a deep ruby colour. The nose is restrained at the beginning and requires aeration. It then offers a beautiful concentration and maturity of fruit: juicy Morello cherry, crushed red cherry, wild strawberry, fresh blueberry, blackberry and roasted cherry, as well as flowers (blueberry, lilac, fresh rose petal), fresh aromatic herbs (thyme, mint, sage), dried mint, spices and roasting (clove, a hint of cinnamon, liquorice, cocoa, sweet coffee). On the palate, the wine is juicy and gourmet. It expresses ripe red and black fruit flavours (Morello cherry, red currant, black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, fresh blackcurrant), delicate spicy notes (white pepper, cinnamon, liquorice) and roasted notes (coffee, smoky, toasted). The texture on the palate is supple, enveloping, with silky, fine tannins. The finish is long, open and fruity, juicy and fresh, with soft but lively acidity and a hint of bitterness in the background. A pleasant, gourmet wine.
