Domaine Michel – Tradition 2020 – Viré-Clessé

Domaine Michel – Tradition 2020 – Viré-Clessé

The nose is fresh, fruity, racy, and pungent. There are notes of fresh quince, fresh zest and, to a lesser extent, mesocarp, combined with hints of fresh almond, crunchy berries and discreet hints of kumquat in the background. The palate is fruity, precise, structured and racy, revealing juiciness, acidity, good definition, gourmandize, suavity, a slight tannic quality in the attack, a lovely racy texture and energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of kumquat, medlar and, more slightly, quince, combined with hints of crushed berries, as well as a fine touch of apricot, fresh almond, clove, a subtle hint of fresh flowers/varietal aromas and a discreet, almost peppery touch (in the background). Powerful on the finish/persistence. Good length.
