Domaine Michel Gros 2016 – Vosne Romanée

The nose is elegant, flowery and offers minerality. It reveals notes of rose, violet and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of cassis, toasted as well as hints of chocolate, nutmeg and a fine hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, racy and offers a beautiful juicy/mineral frame, a fine suavity, a food definition as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, fleshy/juicy plum and small notes of juicy/ripe redcurrant associated with touches of flowers/flowers bud as well as fine hints of minerality, toasted, chocolate, nutmeg and a very discreet hint of mild tobacco (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length.
