Domaine Lucien Tramier, Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu 2021

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, with lots of fruit in the bouquet. It reveals notes of red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, blackcurrant, wild strawberry, as well as the sweetness of cherry jam and raspberry coulis. The fruits are complemented by spicy notes of white pepper, cinnamon, licorice and cloves, with a floral touch of peony. On the palate, the wine is open, with fruity notes of red cherry, red currant, strawberry, blueberry. It also expresses notes of sweet spices (licorice, cinnamon), pepper and dried mint in the mid-palate and on the finish. The tannins are grippy, a bit rough, with a very slight bitterness, which is softened by a sufficient level of acidity (medium +) and a certain persistence of fruit on the finish.
