Domaine Laurent Mouton – Les Grands Prétans 2019 – Givry 1er Cru

The nose is fruity and offers a beautiful bright fruit, a certain freshness as well as controlled power. It reveals notes of fresh raspberry / blackberry, pulpy strawberry and small notes of bright cassis associated with small touches of bright plum, blossom, lily, zan as well as fine hints of cardamom, sweet spices and a very discreet hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-well-balanced and offers a beautiful acidulous frame, a good definition, gourmandize, tension, energy / dynamism as well as crunchiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy / acidulous raspberry, juicy / acidulous redcurrants and small notes of acidulous Quetsche plum associated with small touches of acidulous cassis, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, licorice as well as small hints of almonds, fresh nutmeg and toast. Good length. Presence of an imperceptible hint of vanilla on the finish / persistence. A very discreet chew on the persistence. Well-mastered power and finesse.
