Domaine Labruyère – Le Clos du Moulin-à-Vent 2018, Monopole – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain, definition as well as a certain power, harmony and a fine melodious side. It reveals notes of bigarreau cherry, violet, small notes of small blue fruits associated with touches of pink laurel, incense, small berries as well as fine hints of spices, green cardamom, cinnamon, a subtle hint of timut pepper/mandarine zests. The palate is fruity, elegant, racy, beautifully defined, beautifully precise, beautifully balanced and offers a certain power (full of control), an aerial side and a discreet unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy bigarreau cherry, acidulous raspberry, small notes of juicy cassis associated with a touch of juicy/acidulous blue plum, lilac, lily as well as very fine hints of cinnamon, sweet spices, discreet hints of chocolate and caramelization. Tannins are elegant, fine, racy and very discreetly firm. Good length. A subtle chew on the finish. A wine full of finesse, justness and balance.
