Domaine La Jasse Castel – Bleu Velours 2019 – Languedoc, Montpeyroux
The nose is nicely fresh, well-balanced, racy and offers a little concentration as well as some depth. It reveals notes of Boysenberry, violet and small wild fruits associated with touches of cloves, blueberries, crunchy redcurrants as well as fine hints of tobacco and Cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, good definition, some tension /straightness, a fine gourmandize, little fat as well as a fine stretched side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, pulpy / juicy cassis and more slightly crunchy raspberry associated with lilac, rose, sweet spices as well as a very discreet hint of cloves. Tannins are racy, precise and velvety.
