Domaine Jean Fery – Les Dressoles 2020 – Meursault

A pretty, elegant, harmonious, well-managed nose that reveals purity as well as power in control and accuracy. We find notes of crushed Mirabelle plum, yellow fruits and more slightly nutmeg combined with fine touches of spices, hazelnut butter, bright yellow apple and a discreet hint of roasted pineapple and subtle hints of vanilla in the background. The palate is nicely managed, elegant, delicate and reveals a nice definition, aromatic purity, finesse, power in control, a nice finesse and definition of the grain, harmony, sincerity and some multi-layered quality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy yellow apple, quince and, more slightly, bright kumquat, combined with hints of nutty butter, toasted almond and delicate hints of crushed, sour peach, as well as a fine hint of caviar lemon, discreet hints of nutmeg, toast and an imperceptible, almost acacia-like hint in the background. Good length.
