Domaine Houblin-Vernin – Cuvée Prestige 2018 – Bourgogne Coulanges La Vineuse

The nose is aromatic and offers gourmandize, a certain richness, a fine intensity as well as concentration (rightly done). It reveals notes of pulpy / crushed blackberry, pulpy / crushed raspberry and small notes of violet associated with touches of fleshy fruits, chocolate, small blue fruits as well as fine hints of Sichuan pepper and a very discreet hint of hazelnut. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a small minerality as well as a very fine unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, pulpy purple plum and small notes of violet, cornflowers associated with touches of crushed blackberry, acidulous / fleshy red berries as well as hints of violet, iris, rose, chocolate, vanilla and a discreet hint of hazelnut. Tannins are very finely mellow. Good length.
