Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur – Les Damodes 2020 – Nuits-Saint-Georges

The nose is elegant and offers fleshy fruit, gourmandize and good definition. There are notes of creamy apple, pulpy, juicy nectarine and, to a lesser extent, bright peach, combined with fine touches of quenette and discreet, almost vanilla-like freshness. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, a nice acidic backbone, vivacity, energy, delicacy, accuracy and harmony, a certain purity of fruit, a nice racy minerality and a racy grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy apple, crisp peach and slightly pear, with hints of mesocarp, quince and a subtle hint of lemon and lemon verbena. Very discreet hint of toasted almond and vanilla on the finish/persistence. Good length.
