Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur – Les Dames Huguette 2018 – Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits

The nose is fruity and offers a beautiful fruit, intensity as well as a fine density. The wine needs be decanted. It reveals notes of Boysenberry, raspberry and small notes of rose associated with touches of strawberry flowers, fresh licorice stick as well as hints of cherry, fresh local grove, fine hints of nutmeg and a very discreet hint of tonka bean (in the background). The palate is fruity, gourmand and offers an acidulous frame, a small fleshy / pulpy side, suppleness, precision, a fine fat as well as a beautiful pure and bright fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy red cherry, acidulous raspberry and small notes of Boysenberry associated with a touch of cornflowers, fresh lily, cherry blossoms as well as fine hints of racy minerality, of chocolate and a very discreet toasted hint. Tannins are racy. Good length and good persistence.
