Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur – Clos Genets 2018 – Santenay

The nose is precise and offers intensity, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a certain power and a good definition. It reveals notes of pulpy wild cassis, ripe wild strawberry, small notes of violet associated with touches of small crushed red fruits, a racy/saline minerality, very fine hints of spices, cuben pepper and mild tobacco. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, juiciness, a beautiful juicy/fresh/finely acidulous fruit and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, fleshy/fresh raspberry, small notes of fresh/juicy blackberry associated with touches of cherry as well as hints of chocolate, mild tobacco and sweet spices/toasted. Good length. A fine salinity and a very discreet firmness on the finish.
