Domaine Grand Veneur – Les Origines 2015 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Domaine Grand Veneur – Les Origines 2015 – Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The nose offers freshness and a fine intensity. It reveals notes of crushed blueberry, crushed cassis and hints of cherry associated with a subtle hint of flower, wood, chocolate as well as a hint of Bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight, slightly powerful and offers tension, a fine suavity, a fine mineral frame, a fine gourmandise as well as a silky and slightly unctuous matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crushed black cherry, crushed blackberry and slight notes of blueberry combined with a hint of raspberry, toasted oak, touches of racy minerality as well as discreet touches of black olive, vanilla and spices. Tannins are a bit firm. There are a hint of dark chocolate and a hint of espresso on the persistence. Good length. (2019+)
