Domaine Gaujal – Cuvée Ludovic Gaujal 2020 – Picpoul de Pinet

The nose is elegant, well-built and offers fleshiness as well as a certain richness. It reveals notes of fleshy green apple, crushed green peach and small notes of lime associated with small touches of lemon, racy minerality as well as very discreet almost iodine hints. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers an acidulous frame, tension, a fine iodine side as well as good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy apple, crunchy green nectarine and small notes of quince associated with small touches of zest, lime as well as fine hints of lemon blossom, a subtle hint of sage, a very discreet mineral hint (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of verbana. Good length.
