Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair – Les Seuvrées 2017 – Gevrey-Chambertin

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers a fine concentration/intensity, a small crunchiness as well as a ripe and acidulous fruit. It reveals notes of raspberry and cassis associated with small notes of violet, lily tonka bean, Sichuan pepper as well as a very discreet hint of black tea and cardamom. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, finesse, a beautiful mineral frame, precision, tension, a good definition as well as a beautiful guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, plum and small notes of cassis associated with touches of fresh raspberry, hints of fresh flowers as well as fine hints of mild tobacco, cardamom and zan. Tannins are well-built. A beautiful wine delicate and well-built.
