Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair – Cœur de Femme 2016 – Bourgogne

The nose is fruity, fleshy and offers a slight richness as well as a good maturity. It reveals notes of crushed cassis and ripe / crushed wild strawberries combined with slight notes of redcurrant cream, plum as well as discreet hints of liquorice / cola and sweet spices / cocoa. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a beautiful fresh frame, a slight acidity, juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / crushed redcurrant, crushed cassis and blackberry associated with slight touches of liquorice, a hint of blueberry, a very discreet hint of violet flowers as well as a hint of chocolate. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
