Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair – Clos Marion 2017 – Fixin

The nose is elegant, aromatic, very finely tight and offers a small richness. It reveals notes of blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of plum associated with fine touches of crushed raspberry as well as fine hints of toasted, cornflower/lily and Sichuan pepper/spices. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, well-built and offers a good definition, freshness, a mineral frame, precision, elegance, tension, an aerial side, gourmandize, a small concentration, a beautiful material as well as a good finesse of the grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy plum, juicy raspberry and small notes of fleshy cherry associated with touches of fleshy small red berries, cornflower as well as very discreet hints of liquorice and a very discreet hint of cardamom. Tannins are elegant and supple.
