Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair – Clos Marion 2015 – Fixin

The nose is fruity and offers a slight straightness. It reveals notes of cassis, cherry and raspberry / wild strawberry combined with slight notes of liquorice as well as a hint of violet / rose, Zan, spices and a subtle hint of wood. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a slight mineral frame, precision, a beautiful freshness, roundness as well as a nice / slight fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, crushed blueberry and slight touches of cassis associated with touches of raspberry, cherry, fleshy/ crushed redcurrant as well as slight touches of liquorice, toasted touches and a touch of imperceptible hint of mocha. Tannins are well-built. The finish is slightly powerful.
