Domaine Foret – Savagnin 2004, Lieu-dit Curon Les Corvées – Arbois, Vin Jaune

The nose is elegant, very discreetly on the reserve and offers a small richness as well as a beautiful freshness. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of fresh lemon, ripe kumquat and small notes of dried small yellow fruits combined with fine touches of fresh apple, walnuts, slight hints of small yellow flowers and a very discreet touch of beeswax and brioche. The palate is fruity, juicy, gourmande and offers suavity, a beautiful minerality (almost saline), an acidulous frame, a fine tension as well as a good precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe / juicy lemon, juicy kumquat and small notes of juicy apple associated with fine touches of juicy peach, zest, saline minerality, plum, almond as well as very discreet walnuts and spices. Good length. A very discreet touch of bitterness (good bitterness) and a very discreet firmness on the finish. There are very slight hints of ripe almond, butter and an imperceptible hint of vanilla on the finish / persistence (bring gourmandise). Beautiful wine!
