Domaine Eric Montchovet – Coucherias 2014, Beaune 1er Cru

The nose is fruity and offers freshness, elegance and a very fine/racy grain. It reveals notes of violet plum, cassis and small notes of fresh raspberry associated with touches of small fresh red berries, rose, flowers and fine hints of liquorice/spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, tension as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh plum and small notes of cassis associated with small touches of crunchy strawberry, liquorice as well as hints of cocoa, toasted and very discreet hints of graphite. Tannins are very discreetly marked. Good length.
