Domaine Durand Perron – Vin Jaune 2012 – Côtes du Jura

The nose is fruity and offers a certain intensity, a certain aromatic purity, minerality as well as a small deepness. It reveals notes of dried lemon, dried white apple and small notes of vine peach associated with a touch of pineapple, racy minerality as well as discreet hints of white flowers, almond, curry and an imperceptible hint of pâtisseries. The palate is mineral, fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, a fine roundness, a good definition, finesse, freshness as well as a certain aromatic purity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / acidulous quince, dried lemon and small notes of fresh pineapple associated with fine touches of dried green apple, a hint of white flowers, apple blossoms as well as very discreet hints of beeswax and almond. Good length and persistence. Small gourmandize on the finish / persistence.
