Domaine Durand Perron – Vin Jaune 2011 – Château-Chalon

Domaine Durand Perron – Vin Jaune 2011 – Château-Chalon

The nose is fruity and offers a small concentration as well as freshness. It reveals notes of small yellow berries, crunchy plum and small notes of fresh / crunchy apple combined with touches of fresh quince as well as discreet hints of nutmeg and very discreet hints of oak. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, balanced, slightly tight and offers tension, juiciness, an acidulous frame as well as verticality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh quince, fresh lemon and small notes of fresh / crunchy small yellow fruits associated with small touches of crunchy apple as well as slight hints of racy minerality, almond and spices. Good length and persistence. A very fine power on the finish.
