Domaine du Château Philippe le Hardi – Les Doués 2020 – Mercurey

The nose is fruity and offers a slight concentration/density, a certain deepness as well as a finely tight grain. It reveals notes of pulpy cherry, plum, and more slightly – clove associated with slight touches of bright red fruits as well as a slight hint of violet and mocha. The palate is nicely mineral and offers freshness, a certain roundness, and finesse. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, cherry, and more slightly hints of violet associated with touches of crunchy purple plum as well as hints of cloves and discreet hints of spices. Good length and sapidity. The tannins are supple. Presence of a slight hint of toasted/chocolate on the finish and persistence.
