Domaine du Château de Meursault – Les Trois Journaux 2020 – Beaune-Grèves, Premier Cru

A nice nose that offers intensity, a certain complexity, good definition, some spiciness as well as a good width of the palate. It reveals notes of pulpy strawberry, cherry, and more slightly – lily associated with slight touches of nutmeg, pepper, bright fruits as well as fine hints of spices and a very discreet hint of fresh blond tobacco. The mouth is well-built harmonious, and delicate and offers nice energy, a nice texture / velvety touch, a slight richness as well as a nice racy grain, powerful and delicate at the same time. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of violet plum, tangy/fresh redcurrant, and more slightly – hints of juicy cherry associated with touches of blackberry, hints of cornflower, and lily as well as slight hints of nutmeg and mocha. A nice “sense of the place” side (local biotop). The tannins are elegant, suave, and chewy.
