Domaine du Château de Meursault – Les Maréchaudes 2018 – Corton Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant, full of power and offers a beautiful definition as well as deepness. It reveals notes of black cherry, ripe questch plum, small notes of grey pepper associated with touches of blueberry, rose as well as fine hints of dry tobacco, liquorice stick, sense of the place/terroir and a subtle hint of cardamom. The palate is beautifully delicate, silky, harmonious and offers finesse, a small aerial side as well as a beautiful juiciness/freshness of the fruit, intensity, power and an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/bright cassis, plum, small notes of bright blueberry associated with touches of raspberry, bright cherry as well as subtle hints of rose, tobacco, black tea, racy minerality/terroir, very discreet hints of sweet spices and almond. Freshness as well as a discreet hint of fresh hazelnut, an imperceptible hint of juicy green apple on the finish/persistence. A superb wine full of elegance and gourmandize.
