Domaine du Château de Meursault – Les Cent-Vignes 2020 – Beaune, Premier Cru

The nose is elegant and offers brightness, and pulpiness, as well as nice gourmandize and delicate fruit. It reveals notes of bright raspberry, bright cherry, and more slightly – notes of blackberry associated with slight touches of spices, rose, violet as well as a discreet hint of pepper and racy/almost iodized minerality. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, and concentration all in balance, a nice tangy frame, certain gourmandize, tension, accuracy as well as finesse. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, bright redcurrant, and more slightly – notes of rose associated with touches of juicy blackberry, hints of sweet blond tobacco, cloves as well as a very discreet hint of tonka bean, and toast. The tannins are supple. Good length. Persistence with a hint of dark chocolate and toasted hazelnut.
