Domaine du Château de Meursault 2019 – Corton-Rognet Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a certain power in delicacy, a small sensation of creaminess, deepness, a beautiful ripe/fresh fruit, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a captivating side as well as harmony. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy/ ripe plum and small notes of crushed red currant associated with touches of creamy cherry, cherry blossoms as well as slight hints of violet, star anise, crushed small fruits, delicate hints of sweet spices, a subtle varietal hint (in the background) and cuben pepper. The palate is fruity and offers a beautiful acidulous frame (in finesse), elegance, harmony, a beautiful aerial/delicate side, a nice finesse of the grain… a delicate/airy silk scarf ! On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright/ripe raspberry, bright cherry and sligh notes of blueberry associated with a touch of fresh/juicy/ripe purple plum as well as hints of cornflowers, rose, star anise, a discreet hint of sweet spices, saffron and vanilla. Tannins are delicate, precise and structuring. A beautiful wine, congratulations !
