Domaine des Hospices de Beaune – Beaune 1er Cru – Clos des Avaux

The nose is fruity, racy and offers a small concentration and a fine grain. It reveals notes wild blackberry, crushed cassis and spices, cloves associated with touches of wild small red fruits, a subtle hint of bergamot and pepper. The mouth is fruity, beautifully racy and offers juiciness, minerality, a tangy frame, a certain tension, a small fat and a little concentration. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/ juicy blackberry, cassis and slightly small red currants associated with touches of spices, grilled, coffee as well as a subtle hint of mocha and blond tobacco.
