Domaine des Amadieu, Vielles Vignes, Cairanne 2021

Domaine des Amadieu, Vielles Vignes, Cairanne 2021

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is full of ripe and juicy fruit: it expresses pronounced aromas of sour cherry, blackberry, red cherry, red plum, as well as subtle notes of black pepper, garrigue with a discreet mineral note (wet stone) in the background. On the palate, the wine has a lot of fruit and a nice freshness. It expresses flavors of juicy red cherry, morello cherry, red plum, tangy raspberry, as well as fine peppery and herbaceous notes (dried aromatic herbs, bay leaf, thyme). The tannins have a fine grain, they are a bit gripping, but well-integrated thanks to the concentration of fruit and a refreshing acidity. The finish is fruity, moderately long. A pleasant wine, on the fruits and the freshness.
