The nose is aromatic, very finely tight and offers a certain power as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of black cherry, blackberry, small notes of red plum associated with touches of bright bigarreau cherry, lilac, hints of liquorice stick, nutmeg as well as very discreet hints of cherry stem, olive and a subtle hint of sage (in the background). The palate is fruity, full of finesse/balance, aerial and offers juiciness, freshness, a good definition, a certain gourmandize, tension, a stretchy side, complexity as well as a melodious side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright bigarreau cherry, bright red plum, small notes of small bright red berries associated with touches of pulpy/juicy Boysen berry, violet, chocolate, toasted as well as a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla pod and vanilla flowers. Tannins are fine and delicate. Good length. Beautiful persistence on brightness of the fruit as well as a discreet hint of hazelnut.
