Domaine de l’Odylée, Le V de Viogner – Côtes du Rhône – 2022

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color. The nose is delicate but offers concentration and juiciness. It expresses notes of ripe stone fruits (apricot, juicy yellow peach, yellow nectarine), sweet notes of white flowers (acacia, honeysuckle) and orange blossom, as well as sweet touches of apricot jam, honey and refreshing notes of orange zest, candied lemon peel and grapefruit with a slight bitterness. On the palate, the wine offers richness, a creamy texture and ripe flavors. It expresses notes of fresh ripe apricot, juicy yellow peach, melon, a sweet touch of honey, as well as subtle floral notes (orange blossoms, acacia) and citrus freshness (orange zest, candied lemon peel). The acidity is quite fresh, and the finish is persistent, with notes of citrus and crunchy stone fruits. A good balance between roundness and freshness.
