Domaine de l’Amauve, Laurences, Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret 2021

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity with purplish reflections. The nose is discreet and elegant: there are notes of black plum, blackberry, morello cherry, red cherry, strawberry, with delicate touches of violet, dried rose, white pepper and a slight note of bitter almond, which adds complexity and bitterness to the bouquet. There is also a note of liquorice and dried peppermint in the background. On the palate, there is the suppleness of ripe fruit on the attack: there are flavors of sour cherry, black plum, blackberry, crushed strawberry, mint chocolate, licorice, cinnamon and white pepper. In the mid-palate, the wine expresses its firm tannic structure, the tannins are gripping, a little dry. But the finish is juicy, fruity, slightly peppery, with a nice salivating acidity and energy. A balanced and structured wine.
