Domaine de la Confrérie 2015 – Christophe Pauchard – Volnay-Santenots Premier Cru

The nose is fine, concentrated, powerful, racy, elegant and offers a slight richness (in the background). It reveals notes of black cherry and plum associated with slight touches of crushed blackberry, juicy raspberry as well as touches of racy minerality, Sichuan pepper and an imperceptible hint of violet (in the background). The palate is fruity, mineral, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful acid / juicy frame, elegance, a beautiful finesse, straightness, tension as well as a nice definition / matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy black cherry, juicy blueberry and slight notes of cassis associated with touches of juicy red cherry, juicy raspberry, racy minerality, liquorice stick as well as a very discreet hint of tea. Tannins are fine and very slightly chewy. Good length. Congratulations !
