Domaine de l’A 2020 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is elegant, aromatic and spicy. There are notes of ripe wild red berries, pepper and, more slightly, violets, combined with hints of wild strawberry, plum blossom and almost aniseed and balsamic notes. The palate is mineral, fresh, elegant, airy in its richness and offers a nice fatness, roundness, a fine coating quality, a stretched side as well as purity and finesse in its definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and more slightly wild red berry fruit combined with hints of plum, plum blossom as well as hints of fresh blond tobacco, nutmeg and a discreet hint of tonka/mocha bean. The tannins are supple and gourmet. Nice sapidity. Nice freshness. Good length.
