Domaine de Gachet, Lalande-de-Pomerol 

On the nose, a fine richness, a certain potency as well as elegance. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, dark chocolate and hints of bursting berries combined with touches of lilac as well as vanilla and a discreet hint of hazelnut. On the palate it is fruity, tightly wound and offers minerality, richness, fullness/volume as well as freshness, well balanced bitters, and a certain airiness in the balance. The wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackberry, blackcurrant and hints raspberry associated with touches of fresh cherry, dark chocolate/mocha and nuances of fresh blond tobacco, toasted and fine toasted hazelnut. The tannins are mellow. A lingering finish on chocolate notes.
