The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is slightly reserved, but juicy and complex. It expresses notes of ripe red and black fruits (morello cherry, black plum, strawberry, red plum, blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry), crème de cassis, plum jam, as well as a touch of roasted meat, smoke and dried aromatic herbs (thyme, rosemary, bay leaf). There is also an elegant floral touch of violet and peony. On the palate, the wine is fresh and juicy. It reveals notes of ripe red and black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry, black plum, strawberry, red cherry), dried mint, rosemary and fresh thyme as well as slight smoky and graphite notes in the background. The tannins are chiseled, grippy, but fine. The finish is persistent, fresh and tangy, on notes of red cherry, peppermint and with a good bitterness. A racy and precise wine, with good aging potential.
