Domaine de Chaillot Rêvésens 2020 – Châteaumeillant

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers precision and purity of fruit, as well as a fine minerality. It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, crushed blueberry and blackcurrant, associated with a mineral touch (dry stone, rock), fine spicy notes (licorice,clove, a hint of vanilla), floral bouquet (rosehip, rose petals, cornflower), a touch of torefaction (toasted hazelnut) and chocolate cherry in the background. A delicate herbaceous touch (thyme, fresh tobacco) appears on the second nose. The palate is juicy, very fruity, pure and open. It expresses the freshness of ripe red fruits (wild strawberry, red cherry), fresh morello cherry, morello cherry jam, raspberry coulis, as well as a warm touch of chocolate plum and prunes (in the background), combined with notes of mint chocolate, licorice, clove, cumin, as well as a floral touch of peony. The finish is persistent, with a warming note of macerated cherry and a touch of kirsch, counter balanced by the acidity. The tannins are melted and silky. A fleshy and concentrated wine.
