Domaine de Bouscat – Belle Annie 2019 – Bordeaux Supérieur

Domaine de Bouscat – Belle Annie 2019 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose offers intensity, a nice fine grain and a stretched side. The wine should be decanted. There are notes of blackcurrant leaf, blackcurrant and more slightly of pepper combined with delicate touches of grey pepper as well as a subtle hint of tobacco, sense of place (local biotop) and a discreet touch of zan. The palate is fruity, tightly wound and offers juiciness, minerality, good definition, fatness, a fresh/acidic backbone, some stretch, roundness and a certain delicacy in its power. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of morello cherry, pulpy blackcurrant and, more slightly, violet, combined with a touch of iris, blackcurrant leaf, fresh tobacco, as well as a hint of racy minerality, camphor, a subtle varietal hint and discreet hints of nutmeg.
