Domaine de Bonarieux 2019 – Saint-Joseph

The nose is elegant, well-built and offers a beautiful fruit. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, griotte, small notes of crushed cassis associated with touches of liquorice, blueberry, hints of black olive, cardamom as well as fine hints of sweet spices and sage. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, finely tight and offers a small freshness, a good definition as well as a small concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy wild blackberry, griotte, small notes of crushed blueberry associated with touches of Badiane, liquorice, coffee, black olive, hints of sage, olive leaf as well as fine hints of toasted hazelnut and vanilla. Tannins are well-built and very finely soft. Good length.
