The wine has a deep ruby colour. The nose is aromatic and expresses light notes of smoked meat at the beginning, complemented by aromas of ripe and dried red cherry, cassis, morello cherry, crushed strawberry, dried rose petals and mint. On the palate, the attack is round, on the sweetness of small red berries, slightly sweet (we can find in particular notes of cherry and blackberry jam). In the mid-palate, flavors of black fruits appear (blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry, crème de cassis) with a touch of dark chocolate, liquorice and violet. The wine has well-constructed, firm, but fine tannins, which give the wine good grip. The acidity is lively and fresh. Fairly long finish, with a slight bitterness. Nice concentration and structure.
