Domaine Chevrot – Sur le Chêne 2016 – Maranges

The nose is fruity and offers a fine juiciness. It reveals notes of crushed ripe redcurrant and cherry combined with small notes of cassis, wild strawberry, a subtle hint of black cherry skin as well as a very subtle touch of zan, spices and tonka bean. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a fine mineral frame, a fine juiciness, a fine acidity, a small suavity, a certain delicacy, fat, a small roundness as well as a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy redcurrant, racy minerality, fleshy cherry and small notes of raspberry associated with small touches of cassis, discreet toasted touches, zan as well as an imperceptible touch of Ceylon tea and tonka bean.
