The nose is racy, and spicy and offers tension, a peppery side, and a certain intensity of grain. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, racy minerality, and more slightly – notes of wild violet plum associated with touches of violet, and crushed berries as well as a discreet hint of pepper, iris, and fresh tobacco (on the finish). The palate is mineral, fresh, a bit tight, and offers a nice mineral frame, energy, complexity, and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, fresh flowers, and slight hints of violet plum associated with touches of fresh raspberry, fine hints of tonka bean, clove, and lilac as well as a discreet hint of iris, tobacco, cardamom, and almost camphor.
