Domaine Bader-Mimeur, Champ Gain 2019 – Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru

The nose is beautifully conducted, elegant, precise, racy, aromatic, well managed and reveals a very fine intensity in the background. There are notes of kumquat, fresh medlar and, more slightly, tangerine, combined with touches of fresh spices, nutmeg, pulpy pear, as well as fine hints of apple blossom, a discreet hint of chestnut butter and an imperceptible touch of fresh pepper. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, a nice acidic backbone, freshness, gourmandize, definition, acidity, some crunch and a vibrant energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of tart, crisp apple, tart, juicy kumquat and more lightly tangerine combined with hints of tart quince, fine apple blossom as well as discreet hints of racy minerality, ripe almond and a subtle almost chestnut-like quality (in the background). A nice sapidity and gourmandize. A lovely gastronomic wine, elegant, fresh, juicy and nicely acidic. An imperceptible hint of tannin in the background. Good length. Congratulations!
