Domaine Annivy, Segreto 2021 – Saumur – Champigny

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic and gourmand: it expresses notesof ripe and juicy fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry coulis, red currant, fresh anddried blackcurrant, roasted blueberry, fresh purple fig), combined with notes of sweet spices (cloves, liquorice, a hint of vanilla), aromatic herbs (bay leaf, rosemary in syrup) and flowers (peony, violet). On the palate, there is concentration, freshness and a lively tanginess. The wine expresses the flavors of fresh raspberry, strawberry, crushed blackcurrant, blueberry, red currant, a fine touch of bitterness from cranberries, associated with notes of blackcurrant leaf, sweet spices (licorice, cloves), nutmeg and a sweet hint of vanilla (in the background), flowers (peony, violet) and herbs (bay leaf, rosemary).The tannins have a velvety texture and a firm, but not dry, structure. Good length with a touch of bitterness and crunchy acidity. Concentration, precision, freshness and gourmandise.
