Domaine André Moingeon & Fils – Le Trézin 2018 – Blagny

The nose is fruity and offers power, a small concentration as well as a slightly tight grain. It reveals notes of crunchy Boysenberry, fleshy wild strawberry and small notes of pulpy small blue fruits associated with touches of cornflowers, cherry tail, plum blossoms, small toasted hints, sweet spices, nutmeg, a very discreet hint of vanilla as well as an imperceptible hint of tonka bean and saffron. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a good definition, roundness, fat, a small straightness, suavity, dynamism as well as a certain power and concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy blackberry, pulpy / juicy cherry and small notes of fleshy blue plum associated with touches of cornflowers, fresh lily, crunchy small blue berries as well as hints of chocolate, toasted, nutmeg and a subtle hint of Bourbon vanilla (in the background). Tannins are finely firm. A fine powdery side on the finish. A concentrated wine, with a good matter as well as a certain straightness (but still in control).
