Domaine Alain Jeanniard – Quintessence Pinot Noir 2018 – Bourgogne

The nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration, a fine grain as well as a good definition. It reveals notes of blackberry, purple plum and small notes of crushed red berries associated with a touch of cherry, pepper, laurel berries as well as discreet hints of nutmeg and vanilla. The palate is fruity, mineral and offers freshness, suavity, a certain gourmandize, a fine grain, a certain finesse, a fine straightness as well as a small tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cherry, blackberry and small notes of juicy / acidulous black plum associated with touches of acidulous berries as well as hints of rose, violet, chocolate / tonka bean, almond and a subtle hint of vanilla. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
