Domaine ADH 2022 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fragrant and generous, it offers notes of juicy and ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry), accompanied by aromas of sweet red fruits (crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis), as well as spicy notes (licorice, nutmeg, white pepper), herbaceous (peppermint, menthol), floral (dried cornflower), dark chocolate and a fine touch of smoke. On the palate, the wine offers density and concentration, accompanied by a beautiful freshness. It expresses flavors of blackcurrant, morello cherry, fresh strawberry, raspberry and wild blackberry, as well as notes of peppermint, white pepper, licorice, toast and dried blueberry. The finish is persistent, spicy and warming: we find notes of sweet coffee, dark chocolate and very ripe black fruits. The tannic texture is silky, fine, with great power without being astringent. In the mid-palate, there is generosity and an enveloping fruity substance. The acidity has a medium level, but balanced with the profile of the wine. Firm structure, depth and good potential.
