Very nice amber color. This whisky is limpid and shiny. The first nose is discreet with notes of mushroom and wood. Then emerges spices such as black pepper with molasses. Alcohol is intense. The smoky side comes gradually with lemon. It is lactic and also empyreumatic with burnt, rubber. The attack is frank and pronounced on the rubber, the burnt, the smoke. But there is a nice balance. The mid-palate is always intense with its smoky aromas but there is also a hint of salt that accompanies the whole as well as dried fruits such as roasted almonds, mocha, coffee bean, bourbon vanilla, pineapple and apricot kernel. It is a whisky with personality. There is also some leather which emerges on the finish with a little bitterness which refreshes the whole.
