Delpech Fougerat – XO – Cognac

The nose is aromatic, fine, powerful and quite incisive. It reveals notes of candied lemon, crystallized mandarin and slight notes of zests, white flowers, cardamom associated with subtle hints of ripe peach, a hint of violet, plum / cherry as well as hints of spices, toasted hints and gray pepper. The palate is fruity, round, suave, well-balanced and offers tension, a very slight unctuosity as well as a good structure. On the palate, this Cognac expresses notes of caramel apple, caramelized peach and slight notes of candied mandarin, caramelized lemon associated with slight touches of pâtisseries / crème brulée, vanilla as well as a very discreet grilled hint and a hint of gray pepper. Good length.
