The nose is fruity, a bit powerful and offers intensity. It reveals notes of black cherry, plum and cassis cream and hints of balsamic, red fruit combined with touches of licorice as well as a hint of tobacco, Sichuan pepper, cardamom, graphite and a discreet hint of Lapsang Souchong. The palate is fruity, suave, well-balanced and offers a nice volume, fat, a good definition ot the fruit as well as a beautiful silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and juicy Quetsche plum associated with a discreet touch of prunes, chocolate, red fruits, slight notes of licorice as well as touches of Ceylon tea and zan. Tannins are fine and slightly dusty. Good length and nice aromatic persistance with notes of chocolate and juicy blackberry.
